OECD Week: Forum and Ministerial Council Meeting

The 2018 OECD Forum and OECD Ministerial Council Meeting will take place at the organisation's Paris headquarters on 29-31 May. The events form part of OECD Week 2018 and will bring together government ministers, international experts and key figures from the worlds of academia, business and civil society.
Following a 2017 Forum and Ministerial which explored the fragmenting of our societies, participants at the 2018 Forum will reflect on "What Brings Us Together," and how we can find common purpose and solutions to bridge social divides.
Shaping policy in a “post-truth” world and identifying opportunities for deeper civic engagement will be at the heart of the discussions which will focus on addressing three interconnected issues: international co-operation, inclusive growth and digitalisation.
France will chair the Ministerial meeting on the theme of “Refounding Multilateralism,” with New Zealand and Latvia as vice-chairs. French President Emmanuel Macron will deliver an opening speech in the afternoon of 30 May. Earlier in the day the OECD will launch its Economic Outlook.
Other announcements and meetings taking place at the OECD will include the launch of the OECD Inclusive Growth Policy Framework, a B20 seminar on business and G20 priorities, a G20/OECD meeting on trade, and the annual general assemblies of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) and Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC).
