China's CPI up 2.1 percent year-on-year in March

China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 2.1 percent year-on-year in March, the National Bureau of Statistics said April 18.
The increase was down from 2.9 percent for February, according to the bureau.
