The book, Research and Recommendations on Hainan's Reform and Development: Aspirations and Expolorations, is compiled by Chi Fulin, president of the China Institute for Reform and Development.

Focusing on development over the next three decades, the book collects research from the China Institute for Reform and Development based on changes in Hainan province in the past 30 years. With the four themes of “openness, reform, eco-protection and the South China Sea”, the book provides 30 research-based policy recommendations for Hainan’s development.
