Professor Xue Lan, Dean of Public Policy and Management School, Tsinghua University, published an article on People’s Daily recently pointing out that as a general technology with great potential, artificial intelligence is expected to lead a new industrial revolution, and it will greatly increase productivity and push human society to enter a new stage of development.
However, the potential risks of artificial intelligence, as well as the multiple effects it has on productivity and the existing economic and social structure, require attention from governments of different countries.
He also pointed out that the development of artificial intelligence will have a profound impact on the current international order in terms of innovative governance, sustainable development, and global security cooperation.
