Report: Chinese government digitization ranks eighth globally

The Chinese government ranks eighth in terms of digitizing services, surpassing that of the United States and the European Union.

The rankings were in a report by the McKinsey Global Institute which was cited in a recently released China New Media Development Report by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The China New Media Development Report also mentioned that the central and regional governments have issued a series of documents directing the improvement of electronic administrative services during the past year in order to address difficulties in data sharing, system connections and project coordination using a new media platform.
