The United States has no plan to block China's development and wants both countries to succeed, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.

Reiterating that the Sino-US relationship is very important, the US will continue to adhere to the "one China" policy and never change it, he said during a meeting with State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of a series of foreign ministers’ meetings for the East Asian cooperation, last week in Singapore.

Noting that Sino-US relations are at a crucial moment, Wang said cooperation is the only right choice for China and the US, and it is also the general expectation of the international community.
