The Chinese Government Publications International Marketing Platform was launched in Beijing on Aug 23. This is the first domestic service platform for publishing houses to cover the global market and specifically promote government publications.

The platform is headed by the State Council’s Research Office and operated by China Yanshi Press.

It aims to become a comprehensive publication resource center and an international marketing promotion platform that is not only a collection of government public documents, books, newspapers and databases, but also a combination of online and offline services.

The platform will play an important role in the international communication of Chinese government publications in the future, said Liu Yingjie, director of the information department of the State Council’s Research Office, who addressed the launch ceremony. It is expected to strengthen cooperation with various publishers and cultural institutions and become a new window to publicize government-related information and documents to the world.
