The signing ceremony of the Albanian and Tamil versions of the Mission From Gondwana was held at the 25th Beijing International Book Fair on Aug 22, the first day of the fair.
Dinesh Kulatunga, chairman of Neptune Publications of Sri Lanka, and Rexhap Hida, director of the Albanian publisher Fan Noli, as well as the author of the book TK Garbo attended the ceremony accompanied by executives from Guangdong People's Publishing House.

Mission From Gondwana is an epic novel featuring birds as its main characters and is a philosophical work that reflects on desire and love. The book is designed to describe nature and migrant birds in a different way. Written by Singaporean Chinese writer TK Garbo and illustrated by Tony Xing, the book aims to arouse people’s awareness of the plight of seabirds around the world.
The simplified Chinese version of the book has been published by Guangdong People's Publishing House, a subsidiary of the Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group. In addition to the Albanian and Tamil versions, a number of foreign language publications will be launched, including English, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean.
Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group was established in December 1999. The group now has 25 subsidiaries and one branch company, including six press-publishing houses and two audio and video publishing houses.
The Beijing International Book Fair has been held for 24 years. As the world's second largest book fair, it attracts over 2,400 publishing houses from more than 80 countries every year.
