The third Belt and Road Doctoral Forum organized by Silk Road Think Tank Association and BISU, is presenting research results to provide a comprehensive exchange platform for BRI cooperation.
Diallo, from the Republic of Mali, a west African country, who is majoring in Chinese at BISU said: “We admire China's development achievements in the past four decades of reform and opening-up. China is a role model for us, not a competitor. ”
Yu Hongjun, the former deputy director of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, highlighted the importance of capacity cooperation in his keynote speech, saying that the exchange of goods is the characteristic of economic globalization, and capacity cooperation play a crucial role in the BRI construction.
BRI cooperation between countries should benefit the local people, said Huang Ping, the director of the European Studies Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, adding that enterprises have played an important part in the BRI construction by offering job opportunities for the local residents.
Liang Haoguang elaborated on the relationship between the language promotion and BRI construction.
Liang, who is the executive director of the China Academy of the Belt and Road Initiative in BISU, suggested giving full play to the important role of the BRI language promotion in building a community with shared future for mankind, and wanted put into practice the goal of making China a powerful cultural entity as put forward at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
BRI people-to-people exchanges have gained fruitful achievements, said Zhang Yaojun, a researcher of China Academy of the Belt and Road Initiative in BISU, adding that conducting BRI cultural exchanges is conducive to promoting dialogue among different civilizations and has great significance to promoting Chinese culture globally.
Focusing on students, Diallo said: “We hope that China can provide more internship opportunities for African students studying in China, so that we can have a better understanding of Chinese corporate culture.”
“And we hope that China will provide more opportunities for business cooperation so that entrepreneurs of African small and medium-size enterprises can interact more with Chinese entrepreneurs and investors.”
